You’re being lied to about the narrative around Ukraine.
This last year, there has been a relentless push from the Dominion government and media to have Canadians uncritically support the war in Ukraine. An Imperialist media campaign on this level has not seen since Iraq and Afghanistan in the 2000s. We should remember how both of those campaigns turned out and should approach the current conflict in Ukraine with the same skepticism.
Selling Canadians on this war can only be done through a calculated process of misleading people on the political reality of the region. There are whole histories of peoples and civilizations that are being ignored and silenced, for an Imperialist agenda of control in Post-Soviet Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
One of the biggest misnomers is that this war is the “Ukraine-Russia conflict.” In fact, this is a proxy war being waged by the Anglo-American Empire using Ukraine as a beachhead against Russia.
In 2014, the US-backed Euro Maidan Coup installed a puppet government in in Kiev, what we will refer to as the “Kiev Regime” to separate this entity from the Ukrainian people, many of whom do not except this regime. Shortly after the coup, the Russian-speaking Donbas region declared independence with the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics. The Kiev regime would go on to terrorize the Donbas for 8 years, killing upwards of 15,000 people, violating the Minsk Accords which Russia has established to keep the peace. The breakaway Republics begged Russia to allow them to join the Federation, it was only last year when he said enough was enough and stepped in to defend helpless people on their borders.
The worldview of the current Kiev Regime is fundamentally Anti-Eurasian and White Nationalist — ironic outside of the context of Western Europe or North America — in contrast to the Pluralistic and Eurasianist orientation of the former USSR and present-day Russian Federation. The Kiev Regime revived the legacy of Nazi collaborator Stefan Bandera and recognized the Nazi Azov Battalion as an official part of the Ukrainian military.
In February of 2022, the Russian Federation declared a special military operation — abbreviated as “Z” — to neutralize the Kiev Regime in the Ukraine through a process of Denazification. The region has a painful history with 27 Million Soviet citizens murdered by the Nazis in World War 2. Operation Z has been leveled in Western media as an “unjust provocation,” of course, hot conflict is never preferable, innocents always will be caught in the cross-fire no matter what as the sad tragedy of war, however we must look at how the Anglo-American Empire brought war to the borders of Russia. All of this meddling in Ukraine was the attempt to provoke the Russian bear into open conflict with hopes of balkanization and recolonization.
Prior to the Bolshevik Revolution, semi-feudal Tsarist Russia was essentially a Neo-Colony of Anglo-French Power. The Western Powers had major investments in critical resources such as the Baku Oil fields which the Communists Nationalized for the use of the Soviet peoples which prompted the Imperialists to invade the Soviet Union upon its creation. This was actually where most of the violence took place during the Bolshevik Revolution, repelling the Western Imperialist armies and the Monarchist Counterrevolution. Leading up to World War II, the same Western Elites funded the rise of the Nazi Third Reich to be a sword against Bolshevism. However, in his hubris, Hitler would turn on the Anglo-French Powers waging a ridiculous two-front war with also going through with the plans to conquer the lands of Eurasia in a costly war for which the Soviet Union ultimately triumphed for the salvation of humanity. This time around however the Western Powers got their way with their desired orientation of World War II coming to fruition with the collective West having a united front against Russia. Today the Trans-Atlantic Axis is openly pushing for regime change along with the balkanization of Russia.
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) was originally formed by the Anglo-American Empire to combat the Soviet Union and the expansion of Communism, but strangely persisted over the last 30 years (which we will get into in greeter detail). A quick note on the history of instigation, the Communist Warsaw Pact was created in response to NATO, not the other way around Upon the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, a promise of US President Bill Clinton was that NATO would not expand West. When he got into power in 2000, even Russian President Vladimir Putin was open at first to having friendly relations with the West, however this was not enough for the Anglo-American Imperialists.
Essentially, over the decades Putin has essentially been coerced into the position of being Anti-Imperialist due to Western Hostility. While Putin does represent an oligarchy in Russia, they do have a more Nationalist disposition, due to their unique circumstances they do have to give some benefits to the Russian people in order to appear as legitimate, even if their express intent is to be the Capitalists in control of Russia. Compared to the disastrous presidency of Boris Yeltsin who oversaw crash Liberalism and complete capitulation to Western Interests, Putin demarcated a reassertion of Russian independence, nationalizing key resources including oil and gas into state-run companies. This would not fly with he Monopoly Capitalists of the Trans-Atlantic Axis of Wall Street and the City of London seek to monopolize all world markets. So despite the proclaimed “end of history” Post-Cold War period, the Western Imperialists would not accept an independent Russia, even if it was Capitalist. As a result, NATO kept expanding, engulfing Post-Soviet states Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. Putin proclaimed that Ukraine was a red line and that this was too close for comfort being right on the border of Russia.
Russia views this fight as an existential threat to their civilization. Russia’s campaign is not an act of Imperialism like the US and their Western European allies going in to destroy Iraq or Libya, targeting sovereign republics who where their competitors on the world oil market. The US army basically functions as a mercenary army for the Anglo-American Big Oil Cartels. Interestingly, Russia is also a competitor on world oil markets for Big Oil. This would explain the continued attempts using NATO to subordinate Russia, even past the dissolution of the Soviet Union, proving that the Cold War itself was not just about Communism, but more fundamentally about securing Anglo-American Unipolarity. The Russian Federation still poses an obstacle to that hegemony.
As stated above, the Cold War was more than just a battle of ideologies, it was a war of Anglo-American Unipolarity versus those free to chart their own course whether that was Socialist or Nationalist. This battle continues today. Global South countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia do not forget who was on their side in this ongoing struggle and who was doing everything in their power to prevent them from achieving freedom. The results show very clearly in the UN polls for who supports the Kiev Regime and who supports Russia. It’s important to note without Western backing this fight would have ended early on, and that pumping more armaments into Ukraine is not helping anyone, but just prolonging the conflict and leading to more deaths.
Going back to the Homefront, as our healthcare system falls into a sorry state, the Dominion government has no issue with using your tax dollars by the Billions for arming the Fascist forces in Ukraine. The Dominion government is so desperate to fund this war, they have resorted to the lengths of issuing Ukraine War Bonds to further fleece the everyday Canadian to kill the everyday Russian and Ukrainian. What’s so tragic about this reversal is that many courageous Canadians gave their lives alongside the mighty Red Army to defeat Nazism during World War II!
Sadly, prominent forces in government today want to revive Nazi legacies in the name of opposing Russia, going so far as to do the Banderite salute “Slava Ukraine!” in the Parliament, the equivalent to German Nazi “Seig Heil!” This isn’t coming from nowhere. After World War II, many prominent Nazis were resettled in Canada as assets to use against the Soviet Union, as a result, there is a notable Banderite lobby within Canada, , that has gone after University professors, activists, and community organizers for exposing this history. It is important to note is that the current Deputy Prime Minister of the Dominion, Chrystia Freeland has close familial ties to the Banderite faction of Nazi Collaborators, being the Granddaughter of Michael Chomiak. This fact about Freeland cannot be omitted when we analyze the current foreign policy from the current Liberal government, but the Conservatives are no better on this and also push the NATO Proxy War. Irrespective of both predominant parties, the Dominion as a fixture of Anglo-American Empire has no independent foreign policy. We need a New Republic free of the Anglo-American Empire and Trans-Atlantic Axis to chart our own path for a foreign policy of peace to avoid these Imperialist wars. We must withdraw from NATO and join the rising Multipolar World seeking a new win-win paradigm! We want to close with this important message, we at Riel Republicans do in fact support Ukraine, all the people in Ukraine, Russia, and neighboring areas whose lives have been thrown into chaos by Anglo-American Imperialism.
Onwards towards a Northern Continentalism! Peace in Ukraine and Russia!
